By the time of the review, site was featuring Yousif Omar, a great Iraqi Maqaam "reader". This site helps Iraqi musicians in publishing their work. Also has web hosting services for musicians and a unique e-mail service with you@iraqimusic.com. All at nominal charges. Whether the site will be able to cover all the styles and variations of the vast array of musical styles in Iraq remains to be seen. Some by "unknown" artists, the others are works of Al Tai, Mohamed Al Din, Faraj Abu, Ibrahim Al Abdali, Khalid Al Jadir, Mahoud Ahmed, Hafez Al Doroubi and Faik Hassan. Iraqi Painters succeeds in exposing some of the Iraqi fine art to the world in a simple and enjoyable fashion. It lacks, however, classification of the eras that the artists/works belong to.
