EXTROPY Online -- Published by Extropy Institute, Extropy Online publishes essays, news, and reviews of materials on advanced topics of futurist interest, from life extension to social activism to radical new technologies.
Extropy Institute -- Probably the largest Transhumanist organization. EI advocates using technology to extend healthy life, augment intelligence, optimize psychology, and improve social systems.
Frontier Organizations on the Web -- A major list of futuristic organizations in the areas of future studies, philosophy, personal and social liberation, and advanced technology.
Full Length Life Society -- A tax-exempt charitable trust which seeks to lengthen human life in various ways, including suspended animation. Some interesting philosophical speculation; but more than half the site is listed as "under construction" as of 12-97.
Henry''s Futures Pages -- By Henry Klutymans, a Dutch futurist. Includes sections on nanotechnology, cryonics, space travel, transhumanism, and other future topics. The page is also available in Dutch.
Life Extension Foundation [Cool] -- World''s Largest Organization Dedicated To Scientific Methods To Slow and Reverse Aging. Life-extension and anti-aging information. Vitamins, herbs, supplements, and books in life extension and anti-aging medicine are available online.
Metamorphosis Society -- A philosophical society of people wishing to discuss physical changes to humans in the future. Supports cryonics as a means to that end. Based in Japan, but looking for members worldwide.
Mind Uploading Home Page -- "Uploading" is the putative future process of copying one''s mind from the natural substrate of the brain into an artificial one, manufactured by humans.
Minds & Machines -- Links on Artificial Intelligence and other mind-machine interaction.
Plausible Futures -- An immense, valuable list of sites for future scenarios and future planning in dozens of fields from economics and management to technology. Includes "The Plausible Futures Newsletter." The topics "Aging, Life Extension and Cryonics" are included under the heading *Demography*, for some reason.
